Reliability: A Lesson from the Fair

Dear friends, I’m about to share a tale from my youth, a simple story that taught me the importance of reliability. It’s a lesson I learned at a place filled with joy, laughter, and cotton candy – the local fair.

The Promise

One sunny afternoon, my best friend, Jimmy, and I decided to visit the annual county fair. We were excited about the rides, the games, and the promise of a fun-filled day. But before we set off, I made a promise to my mother. I told her I’d be back home by dinner time. She looked at me, her eyes filled with trust, and said, “Be reliable, son. Your word is your bond.”

At the fair, we were lost in a world of joy. The Ferris wheel, the roller coaster, the ring toss – everything was a thrill. As the day wore on, we lost track of time.
