Grace: A Christmas Lesson

It was a chilly Christmas Eve, many moons ago. Our house was filled with the scent of pine needles and freshly baked cookies. The family was gathered around the fireplace, sharing stories and laughter. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. An unexpected guest had arrived.

Standing on our doorstep was a man, cold and weary from his travels. He had lost his way and asked if he could rest for a while. Without a second thought, we welcomed him in. We offered him a seat by the fire, a hot meal, and a place to sleep. This, my dear friends, was our first real encounter with grace.
